Explanation of Sidebars
By admin on Oct 17, 2008 in Dream Theme Tutorials
The WordPress Dream Theme includes six widgetized sidebar areas. Below is a visual of how the sidebar areas are arranged:

468×60 Header Ad (shown in orange above) appears in the header of your site. This would be a good place to insert a 468×60 banner ad.
Home Page Only Sidebar (shown in green above) appears at the very top of the sidebar, but only on the home page of your site. This sidebar should be used for content that you ONLY want to include on the home page of your site. For example, if you have a video that should only appear on the home page, then it should go in the “Home Page Only Sidebar” area.
Main Sidebar Top (shown in red above) appears at the very top of the sidebar. This would be a good place to include an opt-in form, or anything that you want to give more prominence on your site. Anything placed in sidebar one will appear at the top of the sidebar area on all pages of your site.
Main Sidebar Bottom (shown in blue above) appears below the “Subscribe via RSS” link. Anything placed in this sidebar area will appear on all pages of your site.
Narrow Left Sidebar (shown in yellow above) appears in the narrow left-hand column. Anything placed in this sidebar area will appear on all pages of your site.
Narrow Right Sidebar (shown in purple above) appears in the narrow right-hand column. Anything placed in this sidebar area will appear on all pages of your site.
